Catherine Campbell (they/them) is a novelist, essayist and critic. Catherine’s writing appears in The New York Times, Iowa Review, McSweeney's, Writer's Digest, The Millions, The Rumpus, Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, Travel + Leisure, ROVA and elsewhere.
Catherine is a former graduate writing professor and a panelist and speaker at events for AWP, UNC-Asheville, NC Writers Network, Flatiron Writers Room and other organizations. They received an ArtsAVL Artist Grant and currently serve on the board of The Rumpus.
Catherine is currently working on a novel.
Outside of writing, Catherine is a brand marketing & PR expert who has consulted for sustainable brands in food, hospitality, community and culture since 2006. They produced and co-hosted a marketing podcast (100 episodes) as well as a food stories radio show (80+ episodes), and have worked with bestselling authors & chefs to help bring their books to market.
